Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Covely LTD (“FluenSpeak”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the FluenSpeak iPhone app and this website. Contact support@fluenspeak.com with privacy questions.

1. No FluenSpeak account

You do not create a FluenSpeak account or give us an email address to practise. App Store purchases use your Apple Account. Optional iCloud History uses the iCloud account already signed in on your iPhone; we do not receive your iCloud login credentials.

2. Microphone, audio, and transcripts

FluenSpeak asks for microphone permission only after you choose to record or start live practice. Solo audio and live AI speech are sent through FluenSpeak’s secure service to OpenAI for transcription and feedback. Solo recordings remain temporarily on the iPhone for playback until you leave the screen or save a report. Complete recordings and transcripts are not stored in saved History.

3. AI processing

When you use an online AI feature, the scenario context and relevant transcribed speech are sent through FluenSpeak’s secure service to OpenAI to generate role-play responses and feedback. The iPhone app does not contain an OpenAI secret key. AI content is processed to provide the requested feature and is not included in FluenSpeak analytics. Availability and provider details may change; this policy and the in-app disclosure will be updated before a material change takes effect.

4. Saved reports and notes

Saved reports contain the practice mode, prompt or scenario label, timestamps, duration, measured delivery metrics, structured feedback, and any optional note you add. SwiftData on your iPhone is the local source of truth.

5. Optional iCloud History

If you opt in, FluenSpeak writes a versioned saved-report snapshot to encrypted fields in your private Apple CloudKit database. It excludes recordings, complete transcripts, custom scenario context, installation identifiers, analytics identifiers, and StoreKit records. Apple operates iCloud under your Apple Account and Apple’s terms. Turning the feature off stops future sync without silently deleting the existing backup; a separate control turns it off and deletes the private iCloud copy.

6. Anonymous product analytics

If analytics is enabled in Settings and configured in the distributed build, FluenSpeak may send anonymous product events such as mode selected, report generated, purchase outcome, or a typed error code to PostHog’s EU service. Events do not contain audio, transcripts, scenario notes, names, report notes, iCloud identifiers, encrypted CloudKit payloads, or StoreKit transaction data. Autocapture and session replay are disabled. You can opt out in Settings.

7. Purchases

Apple processes subscriptions and payment information. FluenSpeak reads verified StoreKit entitlement status so Premium can unlock immediately. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Production AI allowances may require FluenSpeak’s server to verify subscription status with Apple; operational purchase records are retained only as needed to provide access, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

8. Retention and deletion

• Temporary audio and complete transcripts are removed after the report flow described above.
• Local reports remain until you delete them or delete the app’s data.
• Optional iCloud reports remain until deleted through FluenSpeak or your iCloud data controls.
• Operational and analytics data is retained only as long as needed for the stated purpose and legal requirements.

You can delete a report from History or choose Delete All FluenSpeak Data in Settings. That control deletes local reports and the anonymous server usage record, and removes private iCloud History. If iCloud is unavailable, iCloud deletion is marked pending and retried.

9. Legal bases and rights

Depending on where you live, processing is based on providing the feature you requested, consent (including optional analytics and iCloud History), legitimate interests such as security, or legal obligations. You may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing and to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Children and changes

FluenSpeak is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest version, and material changes will be communicated in the app or on this site.
